InsightGI was founded by Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty, MD, PhD, a gastroenterologist and clinical assistant professor of internal medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. With a deep passion for patient education, Dr. Chakraborty recognized a critical gap in accessible, visual learning tools for individuals with Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBIs) and other chronic GI conditions.

Dr. Chakraborty specializes in gastrointestinal motility disorders and esophageal diseases, having trained at Mayo Clinic. His research has contributed to advancements in pancreatic cancer treatment and the identification of biomarkers for acute pancreatitis. Beyond his clinical work, he enjoys painting, reading, and science fiction, which inspire his creative approach to medical education.

Through InsightGI, Dr. Chakraborty has combined medical expertise with AI-driven design, creating over 600 infographics to simplify complex GI concepts for patients and providers alike. His vision is to make digestive health education free, clear, and accessible to all.
